The Silver Award for Socially Responsible Synergy is a confirmation of good work
The socially responsible operation of Mikro+Polo does not end with the
Wave Vitamins initiative in Slovenian health care. Our company supports activities that
bring science closer to young people. In cooperation with the
Društvom UP-ornik and the
Peaceful Sea Institute,
we help socially endangered families and children in their local environment. Our cooperation with the Up-ornik association began with the distribution of surplus food from the company's kitchen. Later we also included customers and other stakeholders in the project, and from 2020 we offer the Association free rental of premises in our business building.
The award
recognizes successful partnerships between companies and non-profit
organizations and highlights the best Slovenian projects in the field of social
responsibility, thus encouraging the exchange of best practices.
»We have been cooperating with the UP-ornik Association since 2016. We support their concept, participate in their activities, and together we organize various campaigns. The received award confirms that we are doing the right thing. It gives us the impetus to develop the idea of how we can help the most vulnerable people in the region as much as possible« said our CEO Marko Podgornik Verdev upon receiving the award.
